About Us

Our Story

Stop the Cycle was founded on a simple but urgent conviction: that the patterns we inherit shape the systems we build, and that meaningful change begins when we notice what has been normalised.

Our Mission

We are a research-led company committed to driving meaningful change for those shaping the next generation. Through facilitated team development and online professional programmes, we help educational organisations recognise and interrupt the generational patterns that impact lives, workplaces, and challenge leadership.

In a sector facing burnout and high turnover, creating space for practitioners to feel understood in their own complexities is not just required by policy, but is ethically important and organisationally intelligent.

We believe that reflective practice should be an active process, not a tick box exercise. Ofsted is clear that reflection must be embedded in practice. We help teams make that meaningful.

Our Approach

Research-Led

Every programme is grounded in current research on adverse childhood experiences, reflective practice, and organisational culture. We translate evidence into practical, applicable frameworks.

Relational

We collaborate with teams to build change from within. Our facilitated approach creates trust, shared experience, and honest dialogue. Change happens in relationships, and we model that in everything we do.

Action-Oriented

Insight without action changes nothing. Every session, module, and resource is designed to move participants from awareness to practice. We equip teams with tools they can use immediately in their settings.

What We Believe

1

Patterns are inherited, not chosen

The systems we work within carry the weight of generations. Recognising that is the first step toward change.

2

Reflection must be embedded, not performed

Surface-level compliance helps no one. We create environments where honest, meaningful reflection becomes part of everyday practice.

3

People drive culture, not policies

Lasting organisational change comes from within. When practitioners feel understood and supported, better outcomes follow naturally.

4

Ethical practice is organisational intelligence

Investing in your people is not a luxury. In a sector facing burnout and high turnover, it is the most strategically sound decision you can make.
